FIRST CHURCH:   As we begin a New Year together, we are thankful that we may do so in reasonably good health.  Please pray for and encourage our shut ins throughout this month: Tina at Riverview Gardens, Johanna at Riverview Gardens, Wendy at St. Andrews Residence, Brian at home, Tina at home, and others who are going through difficult times.

We wish our church families in Chatham-Kent God’s riches blessings in the year ahead.  We express our Christian sympathy to the Heyink family with the passing of Linda (Brenda's mother).  May God surround each of his grieving children with comfort and grace to deal with her passing.

Happy birthday to Mrs. Sisca who is turning 76 on January 5th. 

GRACE CHURCH:   We offer our condolences to Gary with the sudden passing away of his wife Linda.  We pray that God may surround him and his family with His love and comfort.  Henry's mother Margaret, had her colon cancer surgery and the doctors believe that they got all of it. She is now home and recovering well. They are still waiting for test results to determine what further treatment is necessary. Praise the Lord for answering our prayers and thank-you to everyone for their prayers, concern and good wishes.  Please continue to pray for Teena and Marg.

Please pray for and encourage our shut ins throughout this month: Tina, Bea, Mary, Al, Irene, Mary, and others who are going through difficult times.  Happy Birthday to Ann who is turning 91 on the 3rd, to Gerald who is turning 73 on January 3, and to Edith who is turning 86 on January 5. 

BLENHEIM CHURCH:    We continue our prayers for Cor and Johanna as Cor continues to be capably cared for at home.  We pray that they may continue to receive strength and comfort from our merciful Father in heaven.  We pray that each of you may experience God's blessing in the new year.

SERVICE TIME & LOCATION: Services are at Grace CRC and at 5 pm  (Unless changes noted below).

SPECIAL CHRISTMAS SERVICES:

Sunday January 1^st: The combined evening service is cancelled. 

Gift Certificates and Gift Cards:   Chatham Christian School is open Thursday January 5, from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. Help raise funds for the school by using gift cards and gift certificates for your everyday purchases.  It really helps the school.  Visit www.chathamchristian.ca then select T.R.I.P. for additional information. 

Adult Education: Pastor Jack will be offering an 8-week class on the book of James.  This practical epistle of the New Testament raises the question, “How do I express my religious beliefs in today’s world?”  James says, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”  All are welcome to attend!
