PRAYER LIST
BLENHEIM CHURCH: We continue our prayers for Ruby. She has moved into the rehab phase of her recovery and we look forward to seeing her return home. We look forward to celebrating another milestone birthday as Abe hopes to turn 85 this Saturday, April 28.
FIRST CHURCH: We are thankful that no one is in hospital at time of writing. Please continue to pray for Kadee on her stay in Haiti. Pray for safety and blessing on her work in the coming week. Pray for our church community—those who are confined to homes and beds; or those who continue to fight disease or older age—and be thankful!
GRACE CHURCH: Tina & Family would like to thank-you for your cards and prayers in the recent loss of our father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Wilma would like to say thank you for your continued prayers and support with her granddaughter Brianna. The report from the doctor has been good and she is regaining her health. To God be the glory! Happy birthday to Tina who is turning 86 on the 23rd, to Ken who is turning 82 on the 26th and to Margaret who is turning 86 on the 27th. Have a blessed birthday!

The 9th annual Chatham Christian School golf tournament will be held on June 9, 2012 at Deer Run golf course. Registration is at 11:30 and a shot gun start begins at 12:30. The cost is 85$ which includes golf, cart, dinner and prizes. A 40$ tax receipt is also included. Please call the school at 352-4980 or Neil Degroot at 354-6018 to register a foursome or as an individual before June 4. Anyone wanting to may also donate a prize. They are greatly needed.

As a fundraiser, Habitat For Humanity C-K presents The Dofasco Male Chorus in concert, Monday, May 14/12, 7:30pm at St Andrew's United Church, Chatham, ON. Tickets are $15. In 1945, a group of enthusiastic men, who shared a common love of singing, formed the Dofasco Male Chorus (Hamilton, ON). Today, the 50-member-strong chorus is highly acclaimed as one of the finest male choruses throughout all of Canada with their extensive repertoire from Folk to Sacred, from Classical to Broadway. 30 Hour Famine: Are you interested in sponsoring one of CCHS’ 30 Hour Famine participants? The money you donate can help World Vision feed starving families, save exploited and trafficked children, build schools and classrooms, and bring safe drinking
water to communities. The 30 Hour Famine for Chatham Christian High School will be taking place on April 26 and 27, so please make sure you contact a participant soon if you would like to donate. Also, we ask you to pray for all participants as they go without food for 30 hours in order to support a good cause. A couple is currently seeking a caregiver for the husband. He is 79 yrs. old; has Alzheimers; and is in need of someone to spend time with him in-home and out-of-home. This caregiver must be a God-fearing, patient and caring individual. The job pays $12.00 / hr. and will probably work 20-40 hrs. / week. Anyone interested in this position can mail a resume to: A. CHATHAM CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS would like to invite you to our annual GRANDPARENTS’ DAY on May 14, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. You do not have to be a grandparent to a child in the Chatham School to attend Grandparents’ Day, we encourage everyone to come and join us for a fun-filled morning. The High School will lead you in morning devotions, tour the classrooms and school grounds, listen to a program featuring elementary students and then enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by the Home and School Committee. Students and staff anxiously wait for your arrival on that Monday morning.
Twentysomethings Small Group Study: Come out to dig deep into the first letter of Paul to TImothy, a young emerging adult in the church. It's Paul's "Teacher's Manual" to this Christian leader in the midst of powerful cultural forces. First meeting is Wed. May 9 at 7:30 p.m. and we'll be meeting alternating weeks. Men's Choir Festival of Praise: The Christian Male Chorus Association of Southwest Ontario invites you to their 2012 Festival of Praise, to be held on Saturday, April 28th at St. Paul's Congregational Church in Chatham. Come and join us for a wonderful evening of praise and singing to our God! Each choir will be presenting their songs and all voices will join together to form the mass choir. Special guests are the Chatham Christian School's Contemporary Girls' Choir and Mr. Richard Dykstra, who will lead us on the organ. Tickets cost $10.00 per person. The Board of Directors of Right to Life Kent is pleased to announce that Mr. Michael Coren (of The Arena) will be the speaker at our 2012 Banquet to be held on May 1st. The Banquet will take place at St. Mary’s Hall at 27 Chatham St. in Blenheim. The doors open at 5:00pm with dinner at 6:00pm.
