PRAYER LIST
CALVARY CHURCH: Congratulations to the families of 4 children who were baptized this morning: Kathryn, Avery, William and Alyssa-Rae. We celebrate this day together as a growing church family! Congrats to Art and Marsha as they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary earlier this week. Our prayers continue to surround John and also Mike who is recovering in hospital after a serious bike accident.
BLENHEIM CHURCH: We look forward to celebrating the birthday of Hilda on Tuesday May 1. We are so glad that Ruby returned home last week and continues to recover there.
FIRST CHURCH: Please pray for our shut-ins and those who experience difficulties from debilitating sickness. Happy Birthday to Mr. Peter who is 87 on May 2nd, to Mrs. Irene who is 79 on May 3rd and to Mrs. Ann Faber who is 88 on May 5th. Have a blessed day!
GRACE CHURCH: The Lord willing, Kees and Reina hope to celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on May 7th. They hope to celebrate this event with their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family on Saturday, May 5th. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
Win thanks everyone for all of their thoughts and prayers that went out on his behalf due to his recent hip surgery. His recovery is going very well. Praise God.

The 9th annual Chatham Christian School golf tournament will be held on June 9, 2012 at Deer Run golf course. Registration is at 11:30 and a shot gun start begins at 12:30. The cost is 85$ which includes golf, cart, dinner and prizes. A 40$ tax receipt is also included. Please call the school at 352-4980 or Neil Degroot at 354-6018 to register a foursome or as an individual before June 4. Anyone wanting to may also donate a prize. They are greatly needed.
As a fundraiser, Habitat For Humanity C-K presents The Dofasco Male Chorus in concert, Monday, May 14/12, 7:30pm at St Andrew's United Church, Chatham, ON. Tickets are $15. In 1945, a group of enthusiastic men, who shared a common love of singing, formed the Dofasco Male Chorus (Hamilton, ON). Today, the 50-member-strong chorus is highly acclaimed as one of the finest male choruses throughout all of Canada with their extensive repertoire from Folk to Sacred, from Classical to Broadway. CHATHAM CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS would like to invite you to our annual GRANDPARENTS’ DAY on May 14, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. You do not have to be a grandparent to a child in the Chatham School to attend Grandparents’ Day, we encourage everyone to come and join us for a fun-filled morning. The High School will lead you in morning devotions, tour the classrooms and school grounds, listen to a program featuring elementary students and then enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by the Home and School Committee. Students and staff anxiously wait for your arrival on that Monday morning.
The Board of Directors of Right to Life Kent is pleased to announce that Mr. Michael Coren (of The Arena) will be the speaker at our 2012 Banquet to be held on May 1st. The Banquet will take place at St. Mary’s Hall at 27 Chatham St. in Blenheim. The doors open at 5:00pm with dinner at 6:00pm. The cost of the tickets is $35.00 each - payment can be made by cash or cheque and can be purchased at the Right to Life Kent Office, 444 Riverview Line, UNIT #10, Chatham 519-352-3611. It will be a full and interesting evening with delicious food, great door prizes, updates on what going on in the C-K pro-life community, and a great speaker!
WELCOME WEDNESDAYS – Chatham Christian Schools educate students in the light of God’s word to equip them for a lifetime of learning, leadership, service and worship. Baby Bottle Boomerang: We will be distributing baby bottles on Mother’s Day. Just fill the bottles with change, bills, and cheques and return it for collection on Father’s Day. All funds go directly to the REFUGE division of Right to Life Kent (RTLK) and will be used for practical pregnancy support in the Chatham-Kent region. March for Life 2012- Abortion Hurts Everyone. March for Life will be held Thursday May 10th, 2012. Departing Chatham: 11:30 p.m. ( May 9 ) Buses will leave from Grace Christian Reformed Church parking lot located at 255 Tweedsmuir Ave. W. Arriving Ottawa approximately 7:30 a.m. (May 10). Departing Ottawa: 4:30 p.m. Sharp (May 10).

ATTENTION MOTORCYCLE RIDERS! - The Canadian Ministries office of the CRC invites you to join us on Aug. 25 and 26 at the CRC in Aylmer Ont. for a “Pre-Turtle Island Ride” (the Turtle Island Ride itself will be in the summer of 2013, from Southern Ontario to Southern BC, visiting First Nations communities and ministries along the way). At 12:30 on Saturday we’ll hear from Chief / Pastor Joseph Gilbert of the Walpole Island First Nation. Then we’ll go for a group ride, and return to the church for a barbecue. Sunday, we will worship with the Aylmer congregation, where Chief Gilbert will preach, and enjoy a lunch together afterwards.
