PRAYER LIST

BLENHEIM CHURCH:     We celebrate the birth of another grandchild, Rebecca Grace to Mark and Barbara.  We celebrate with the families of Brent, Kim, Michael, and Carissa as they publicly profess their faith in Jesus Christ this morning.  We also pray for Anna who fell last week and sustained a fracture, and now needs to remain in bed.  Family and friends can visit her at the Blenheim Community Village.  We pray for the farmers in our area as it now looks as if some fields may not even get planted this year.  We pray for good weather.  This week we also pray for Haniel and Michelle

CALVARY CHURCH:   Alan and Kim had a healthy baby girl last week named Ava Lynn. We are blessed by the arrival of the fourth of four baby girls who joined our church family recently. John went to a London hospital this week for surgery on his thyroid. Rita's mother died on Friday morning after living a full life. Her health had been in decline the last couple of weeks.

FIRST CHURCH:   Late Wednesday evening the Lord called to himself Margaret.  We express our Christian sympathy to her family and friends.  Funeral arrangements will be announced on Sunday.   Sisca is expected to undergo surgery for hip replacement in the coming weeks.  Continue to pray for Ann, Jackie, and the many in our congregation who experience difficulties.  Pray also for comfort to the many who are grieving the passing of loved ones. We would like to congratulate our graduates from various levels of educational institutions. Some have already graduated while others look forward to this event in the near future. A very happy 84th birthday tomorrow to Mrs. Ann, may you have a blessed day and year.

GRACE CHURCH:  Wyn and Keith are happy to announce the safe arrival of their grandson Austin James.  Austin is the son of Meghan and Colin.  Meghan is the daughter of Wyn’s late sister Martha and Ed Uhlik.

From Ron and Meike:  We would like to thank you  for your prayers, visits, carts, for your love and concern on our behalf, in time of shock and grieving with the passing of our dear  son (stepson) Edward.  God bless you.

Congratulations to Henk who turned 76 today and to Margaret who is turning 70 on June 1st.

GROUNDWORK - Christians and War: War is a passionate topic. Even young Christians try to reconcile their religious beliefs with realities of our world when they ask questions like: “How should Christians respond to war?” “Should Christians support war?” “If we aren’t supposed to kill, why is it OK to go to war?” Retired Army Chaplain Herman Keizer joins our June 5th Groundwork program to discuss a biblical response to these deep questions. Go to www.GroundworkOnline.com to listen online or find a local radio station.
