PRAYER LIST

FIRST CHURCH:   We celebrate with joy, God’s blessing and faithfulness for 50 years of marriage to Peter and Jean, on June 30.  We join them today in expressing our congratulations.  Jack experienced congestive heart failure last week and also discovered that his remaining lung had filled with fluid.  We are thankful that he was admitted and quickly cared for in hospital, and is recuperating at home.  Jack is slowly improving following the diagnosis, but remains week and is under medication for inflamed arteries.  Keep these, our shut-ins, and many other concerns in prayer before our heavenly Father. Happy birthday to Mr. Herm who will celebrate his 70th birthday on July 4th

BLENHEIM CHURCH:  We look forward to celebrating the birthday of Mike this Wednesday, July 6.  We also pray for all our VBS volunteers and all the children who look forward to this week of Vacation Bible School. This week we also pray for Haniel and Michelle who are working at the St. Paul's Center in Turkey.

GRACE CHURCH:   Please pray for and encourage our shut ins throughout this month: Tina, Bea, Mary, Al, Irene, and others who are going through difficult times.  We would like to wish William a Blessed Birthday as he turned 87 today!  Have a wonderful day!

Congratulations to all those who have graduated this year from kindergarten, Grade 8, Grade 12, and University/College.  We wish you God’s blessings as you continue to serve Him in your life.

SERVE Trip: This Thursday Pastor Jake, Laura, Aaron, Kristen and Josh and Hannah will be hopping on a Greyhound bus to make the 48 hour trek to Regina, Saskatchewan.  We will spend a week in Regina working with Indian Metis Christian Fellowship, a local CRC Christian aboriginal ministry, as well as with 2 local community organizations, and doing VBS at 2 locations.  Please pray for safety, for opportunities to share Christ's love with the people of Regina, and that the young people may grow in their faith.

CRWRC Harvest Hope Campaign Update:  At the beginning of 2011, CRWRC was faced with the surmounting challenge of filling a funding gap that was left when CIDA (Canadian International Development Agency) denied our request for funding. We let you know that we needed to raise $1.1 million ($825,000 for fiscal year 2010/11) to ensure that important world relief programs could continue.

CRWRC is pleased to report that we received transitional funding from CIDA, in the amount of $215,000.  This was great news, not only because it helps us to fill this necessary funding shortfall, but also because it demonstrates the confidence that CIDA has in CRWRC’s programs and gives us hope that our future proposals will be funded. CRWRC is also happy to report that our “Harvest Hope” campaign to churches and individuals has had great success.  To date, we’ve received just over $800,000 in donations.  This support puts us very near our fiscal year end goal of $825,000 before June 30, 2011. For this incredible response we want to say a big THANK YOU! For those who have not yet submitted you're offering donation, you are encouraged to do so in order that this goal may be reached.  Please continue to keep CRWRC and our financial needs in your prayers.
