PRAYER LIST
FIRST CHURCH: Birthday Greetings to Mrs. Jean who is turning 79 on August 3rd! Have a blessed day!
GRACE CHURCH: This past week Eppe suffered a minor heart attack and was admitted to hospital in Chatham. Eppe has been struggling with his health for the past while and now needs to look into nursing home facilities. We pray for Eppe & Margaret as they are going through this difficult process. Birthday greetings to Dina who is turning 79 on August 6. We wish you God’s blessings on your special day!
COMBINED EVENING WORSHIP SERVICES
SERVICE TIME & LOCATION: Services are at First CRC and at 6:30 pm.
OFFERINGS FOR JULY: Chatham Christian Schools (TAF).
Evening Worship Services:
Beginning July 31, Pastors Jack, Chris, and William, will be reflecting
on the three themes of the Belhar Confession: Unity, Reconciliation, and
Justice. The intent is not to endorse or express agreement for the
Belhar to be a doctrinal position for our church, but rather help our
congregations be aware of the important message presented in this
document; a message that applies to our churches in North America and
around the world. We trust our churches in Chatham will be blessed by
these messages.
Beginning in August, the pastors will introduce the Heidelberg Catechism
by preaching a series of sermons in the evening services that will take
us through 2012 (taking into account that there are special themes
during the church calendar year that may interrupt this series). May
God bless the efforts of our pastors in our combined evening worship
services.

GROUNDWORK - The One, Fractured Church: Many critics of the church point out that the “one” church isn’t really one; it’s fractured beyond belief. If that’s true, what does it mean to speak of the unity of the church? Special guest Peter Borgdorff joins the conversation to discuss Ephesians 4 and what it means to confess that the church is “one.” Join the Aug. 7 Groundwork discussion. Find a local radio station or www.GroundworkOnline.com.
