We welcome you to our worship service!  This morning Randy VanStempvoort will lead us in worship. 

This evening our combined worship service is at 6:30pm and it will be led by First CRC and located at First CRC.  Pastor Jack will be preaching on the Belhar Confession, a 3 part series, focusing on Unity.  His Scripture passage is from Ephesians 4:1-16 and the sermon title is “When There Is Unity in the Body”. 

UPCOMING LORD’S SUPPER SERVICES:

We are celebrating Lord’s Supper Sunday August 21 in the am worship service.

MORNING OFFERINGS:

July 31 – Shalem: The Shalem Mental Health Network seeks to provide a responsive network of faith-based mental health support.  The do this by stimulating, developing demonstrating, promoting and sharing best practices in meeting mental health needs from a faith base.  They operate a non-profit counseling service helping clients of any age deal with issues such as: Anxiety, Depression, Conflict, Anger, Grief, Abuse, Communication, Family difficulties, Parenting, Self-esteem, Separation/divorce and Sexuality.

August 7 – Pastor-Church Relations: The mandate for this ministry was that it provide programs of “Healing and Prevention” for the ministers, staff, and congregations.  Ministry shares funds allow Pastor-Church Relations to provide these services to congregations. 

PRAYER MINISTRY:

·        Please come Sunday mornings at 9am and join in prayer for our church and community.  We meet in Room #2 (in the lower level)

·        Join us for prayer following the worship services in the room at the back of the sanctuary.  All requests remain confidential.

Please inform the office or your district elder if there are any announcements or concerns that you would like to go in the bulletin.   Please have all bulletin items in by Wednesday 7pm.  Office Hrs: Tues –Fri 9am–noon 

 

SENIOR HOME MINISTRY:

1.        There is a worship service today at Riverview Gardens (King St. W.) at 2:30pm.  The family asked to attend is Cecil & Freida.  Please use the side door on Robertson Ave.   

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

PASTOR WILLIAM: is on holidays this week.  If you have any concerns or needs please contact your district elder.  Thank you. 

REMINDER: Next Sunday is the 1st Sunday of the month – do you know what this means?  You’re right – CADET POP CAN FUNDRAISER SUNDAY.  Please bring your pop cans to the church Sunday morning and we will have Cadets on hand to help you. 

LIBRARY NEWS:  “Promises to Keep” by Ann Tatlock.  A mother fleeing unspeakable danger to keep her children safe….  Two young girls guarding secrets in a “cross my heart and hope to die” pledge…  A Father desperate to be reunited with his family…

FOOD DONATIONS NEEDED: It is important to give food to the poor in our community not only on special holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas, but throughout the year.  We would like to encourage each of you to bring non-perishable food items to the church each month.  There is a bin underneath the mail slots that we would like to fill up each month and bring to one of the local food banks:  Salvation Army, Outreach for Hunger, and Praise Fellowship.  Please help us by bringing non-perishable food items to the church this upcoming Sunday.  Let’s make a difference in the lives of those around us!
