We welcome you to our worship service! This morning Pastor William Koopmans will lead us in worship. We will be celebrating the profession of faith of Ryan M, Ryan V, and Steve V in this worship service. We will also be having our Student Sendoff for those returning to College/University in the next couple of weeks. And we will be hearing about the SERVE trip our youth went on in Saskatchewan.
Next week Sunday: we will be celebrating the baptisms of Ashley and Kingston, and the profession of faiths of Jason & Ashley.
This evening: our combined worship service is at 6:30pm and it will be led by Grace CRC and located at First CRC. Pastor William will be preaching on Matthew 5:1-12 with his text being James 2:13. He will be focusing on the 3rd part of the sermon series on the Belhar with the theme of “Justice and the Grace of God”.
UPCOMING LORD’S SUPPER SERVICES:
We are celebrating Lord’s Supper Sunday August 21 in the am worship service.
GRACE CHURCH VISION STATEMENT: As disciples of Christ our purpose is to encourage spiritual growth in ourselves, our family, and our church family so that we will be the presence of Christ to all the world around us in all we say and do.

MORNING OFFERINGS:
August 14 – Missionary Support: Missionaries are our brothers and sisters in Christ who have gone out on our behalf to build the church of Jesus Christ and extend the Kingdom of God all around the world.
August 21 – Ministry Shares: Ministry shares are financial contributions that congregations of the CRC in North America make on behalf of each active adult member toward global ministries and programs of our church. These gifts support outreach, education, and pastoral services. All agencies of the CRC receive a portion of their annual budgets from ministry shares.
Please inform the office or your district elder if there are any announcements or concerns that you would like to go in the bulletin. Please have all bulletin items in by Wednesday 7pm. Office Hrs: Tues –Fri 9am–noon
PRAYER MINISTRY:
· Please come Sunday mornings at 9am and join in prayer for our church and community. We meet in Room #2 (in the lower level)
· Join us for prayer following the worship services in the room at the back of the sanctuary. All requests remain confidential.
SENIOR HOME MINISTRY:
1. There is a worship service today at Copper Terrace (91 Tecumseh Rd.) at 2:30pm. Please use the back door. The person asked to attend is Wilma.

LIBRARY NEWS: “Possession by Rene Gutteridge. Vance Graegan is burned out on life and love. Hoping to save his marriage, he quits his detective job and moves his family to the other side of the country. When the movers decide to hold his belonging for ransom, Vance is determined to ensure his family’s new beginning is not ruined.
EAST AFRICAN DROUGHT: There is an announcement in the Common Insert regarding CRWRC’s involvement with East Africa. Our church will be having an offering for this cause on September 11.

AUGUST 16: Join us for a social night this Tuesday at 7:30 at the home of Phil and Jessie-Lyn VanderSluis.
AUGUST 28: We will officially kick off our new Young Adults year with a BBQ on Sunday afternoon on August 28 at Phil and Jessie-Lyn's home. Bring your own meat and drinks and bring a salad or desert to share.
