We welcome you to our worship service! This morning Pastor William Koopmans will lead us in worship. We will be celebrating the baptism of Ashley and Kingston and the profession of faith of Jason and Ashley in this worship service. We will also be celebrating Lord’s Supper in this worship service.
This evening: our combined worship service is at 6:30pm and it will be led by First CRC and located at First CRC. Pastor Jack will begin the series on the Heidelberg Catechism, II Corinthians 1:1-12, “Jesus: My Comfort in Life and in Death.”

We are celebrating Lord’s Supper Sunday August 21 in the am worship service.

MORNING OFFERINGS:
August 21 – Ministry Shares: Ministry shares are financial contributions that congregations of the CRC in North America make on behalf of each active adult member toward global ministries and programs of our church. These gifts support outreach, education, and pastoral services. All agencies of the CRC receive a portion of their annual budgets from ministry shares.
August 28 – CCS Tuition Assistance Fund: This fund helps families afford tuition costs of Christian education for their children.
PRAYER MINISTRY:
· Please come Sunday mornings at 9am and join in prayer for our church and community. We meet in Room #2 (in the lower level)
· Join us for prayer following the worship services in the room at the back of the sanctuary. All requests remain confidential.
Please inform the office or your district elder if there are any announcements or concerns that you would like to go in the bulletin. Please have all bulletin items in by Wednesday 7pm. Office Hrs: Tues –Fri 9am–noon
SENIOR HOME MINISTRY:
1. There is a worship service today at Meadowpark Home (110 Sandys St.) at 2:30pm.
2. There is a worship service today at Riverview Gardens (King St. W.) at 2:30pm. Please use the side door on Robertson Ave.
3. There is a worship service on Friday at Residence-on-the-Thames at 10am.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
VACATION: Pastor Jake is on vacation this week. Next week Thursday and Friday the church office will be closed.
SUNDAY SCHOOL: Sunday School will soon be starting up its new season; THAT IS, when we get enough leaders. Please prayerfully consider participating in this wonderful children's ministry. All of the material is provided for you, and I will be glad to help you as much as I can, should you need assistance or have any questions. The crafts are simple; all of the supplies are ready for you, and again, I will help if needed. Our children are counting on you; Sunday School is a very anticipated part of the year, let's not let the children down. LIBRARY NEWS: Crossroads of Grace series of 3 books by Allison Pittman are historical novels of three different women struggling on their own in the 1800’s. Forced into unpredictable conditions, these books offer a rich story of family, new beginnings and the freedom that grace can bring.
EAST AFRICAN DROUGHT: There is an announcement in the Common Insert regarding CRWRC’s involvement with East Africa. Our church will be having an offering for this cause on September 11.
NeighbourLink: NeighbourLink could use your help with some salads for our Pig Roast on Saturday, September 10. If you are able to help by making a salad for 10 people please sign up using the form on the table in the narthex.

AUGUST 28: We will officially kick off our new Young Adults year with a BBQ on Sunday afternoon on August 28 at Phil and Jessie-Lyn's home. Bring your own meat and drinks and bring a salad or desert to share. Everyone aged 18 (finished high school) to 30ish is invited to join us. If you would like to know more about our Young Adults/Ish group please talk to Pastor Jake.
