We welcome you to our worship service! Pastor William Koopmans will lead us in worship this morning.
This evening: our combined worship service is at 5pm and it will be led by Grace CRC and located at Grace CRC. Pastor William will be preaching on Romans 10:5-17 and Heidelberg Catechism Lord’s Day 7 “The Word of Salvation”.

October 30: Andrew Aukema will be leading us in worship in the am worship service. The Combined Reformation Day service will be at 5pm at Grace with the Reformed Church in charge.

MORNING OFFERINGS:
October 16, 2011 – Disability Concerns: Disability Concerns is a ministry of the CRC which seeks to end the isolation of persons with disabilities and their families. It helps to nurture the spiritual lives and use of gifts in people with disabilities so they can sense God fully in their churches.
October 23, 2011 – Diaconate: The Grace church diaconate seeks to provide aid to those in need both in our church and our surrounding communities. A portion of the money collected for the diaconate goes to the Diaconal Ministries Canada, whose mission is to inspire, equip and encourage deacons, churches and their partners in transforming communities with the love of Christ.
PRAYER MINISTRY:
· Please come Sunday mornings at 9am and join in prayer for our church and community. We meet in Room #2 (in the lower level)
· Join us for prayer following the worship services in the room at the back of the sanctuary. All requests remain confidential.
Please inform the office or your district elder if there are any announcements or concerns that you would like to go in the bulletin. Please have all bulletin items in by Wednesday 7pm. Office Hrs: Tues –Fri 9am–noon
SENIOR HOME MINISTRY:
1. There is a worship service today at MeadowPark Senior Home (110 Sandys St.) at 2:30pm. The family asked to attend is George & Janet F.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
NEED HELP RAKING YOUR LEAVES? The youth are going to be raking leaves on Saturday October 22nd for those who have difficulty doing this. If you would like to have your leaves raked please contact Pastor Jake Snieder.
FLOWER MINISTRY: There’s still a couple more slots to fill on the sign up sheet. Please take a moment to stop by and sign your name to one of the open dates. Thanks!
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We would like to send Christmas cheer to our neighbours around our church by giving them Christmas Cards and inviting them to attend our special Christmas services this December. We are going to get together with members of First and Calvary on October 26th at 7pm to make 500 Christmas Cards. Please set this date aside and come and help out. Both men and women are needed and the jobs are very easy to do. Refreshment s and goodies will be supplied as we work. We will meet at Grace CRC in the Fellowship Hall! Please bring your own adhesive if you have it to help keep the costs down. All other materials will be provided. For more information please talk to Julie. See you there!
LIBRARY NEWS: If you like the supernatural theme of a book, then you will enjoy “The Alarmists” by Don Hoesel. Sociologist Brent Michaels is given the most important assignment of his life. His team must uncover why the world is rushing toward doomsday. Apart from man-made and natural disasters, something far more dangerous emerges—someone is manipulating events.
Chess Enthusiast Needed: A number of Cadets want to work on their Chess badge and their counsellors need a bit of help with the game. If you are a chess enthusiast and have a bit of time on a Monday night to give some pointers to the boys about the game of chess please contact: Henry or Jeff D. Thank-you!
THINKING OF THE EXCITEMENT OF SHOVELLING SNOW THIS WINTER?!: Then this is for you. We are looking for someone who would be willing to clear the snow and salt the walkways around the church throughout the winter. If you are willing to help out with this please talk to Keith.
Missions Trip Fundraiser - Needing help with fall clean-up such as raking leaves or yard work, or organizing your garage, or for housework or odd jobs around the house??? Jessica W is looking to raise funds to go on a missions trip to Haiti in November 2011. She is travelling with a group affiliated with “Awake in Haiti” where she will be helping with medical work and setting up a clinic in a tent city. So, if you have any odd jobs that you would like Jessica to do for you, she will be glad to accept donations in return for the jobs done. Jessica will be available to work on the following dates: Friday Oct 21st, Saturday Oct. 22nd, and Saturday Oct 29th. To arrange a time for her to come and work for you please contact Trish W.
FELLOWSHIP CLUB: We are going bowling on October 29th at Bowlerama at 7:30pm. Please let Linda or Marg know if you are able to come.

TUESDAY NIGHT: All young adults aged 18 to 30something are invited to join us this Tuesday night at the Bowlerama on Keil Drive at 7:30pm.
Please make sure you have completed the waiver/registration form prior to attending Youth Events. Completed forms can be given to Pastor Jake or placed in his church mailbox.
TONIGHT: Never too Young - Discipleship. How old were the twelve disciples? 40 years old? 30? Could some of them possibly been teenagers? Come out tonight from 7-9pm as we explore God's call to young people today to live lives of discipleship. Remember to bring a loonie or toonie for Kimberly, our sponsor child.
NEXT WEEK: Scavenger Hunt! Are you up for a new scavenger hunt challenge this year? Come out next week to find out what it is. Parents, we will need a few extra drivers to take out groups of 4-6 youth. All other parents, grandparents, and friends, you may receive a short and friendly visit next Sunday evening.
EAT AND RAKE: Bring and appetite and a rake to church on Saturday, October 22. We will meet in the church fellowship hall at 8am for breakfast and afterwards we will head out to rake leaves for senior members in our church and our community. We will be finished by lunch time. Please remember to sign up on Facebook or on the Youth Bulletin board sign-up sheet to let us know you are coming. If you, or someone you know could use some help with leaf clean-up please contact Pastor Jake.
SOUTHWEST FALL RETREAT: November 4-6. This is a regional retreat for CRC youth groups in classis Chatham-Kent. If interested in more info see the brochure on our Youth Bulletin board or talk to Pastor Jake.
