Who We Are
We are called Christian because we confess, belong to, and follow Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.
We are called Reformed because our history is rooted in the 16th century Protestant Reformation. We continue to affirm the Reformation teachings of salvation by faith in Christ alone, and the Bible as the only rule of faith and conduct.
We are called Church because we are part of the universal family of God, through which our relationships to God, to each other, and the world are nurtured.
BULLETIN BOUQUET:
THANK YOU: Thank you to the people who were involved with decorating the church for the Christmas season; it looks beautiful. We appreciate all the hard work that went into the displays. Thank you also to Michelle and Deb who have taken over the decorating position.

Ø The meeting was well attended and quorum was confirmed.
Ø Opening devotions were taken from John Ortberg’s book “If You Want to Walk on Water You’ve God to Get Out of the Boat” with a focus on Matthew 14:25-32.

MAIL SLOTS: If you do not have a mail slot and would like to have one (whether you are a member or not) please contact the church office and let Julie know by Sunday December 18th. If you currently have a mail slot and do not wish to have it anymore please let Julie know that as well.
EVERYONE TURNING 70 IN 2012: Please let me know at the church office by December 18th if you would prefer not to have your birthday acknowledged in the Common Insert. Thank you.
THIS IS THE LAST DAY TO SIGN UP FOR THE RED KETTLE DRIVE: The Salvation Army is asking members of our church to devote two hours of their time to assist them with their annual Red Kettle Appeal.
The Signup Sheet is on the table in the Narthex and although it is a Saturday, let’s ‘put our shoulders under it’ and give it a couple of hours and so fill all the Timeslots. Young people are also welcome to participate accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age (see Students on Poster). There are many spots open still and they desperately need your help. There is no solicitation, nothing more than a friendly smile and sincere thank you. Thank you for your participation.
Fill out the note with your time and location for yourself to write on your ‘to-do’ calendar at home.
Church School: On December 18 all students in grade 6-12 are being invited to be part of a Christmas Presentation during the morning worship service. We will be performing a speech called "That's My King!" It's a loud, energetic declaration proclaiming Christ as King! Practice times will be Sunday morning on December 11 and 18 from 9am-9:45. Regular Church School classes will not be happening these mornings to make time for these practices. Everyone is invited to participate, but since we have limited prep time only those who are seriously interested are asked to attend.

ALL 2011 VOUCHERS MUST ALSO BE USED BY THAT DATE.
Any monies collected after this time, including the December 31st service, will be considered as 2012 donations.
