FIRST CHURCH:   Sisca is recuperating and receiving therapy at the hospital.  She hopes to come home by Sunday afternoon.  Bill underwent surgery for colon cancer this past Tuesday.  He is resting comfortably in the hospital.  May God provide for each of these needs, as well as our shut-ins, as we continue in this Christmas season.  Happy birthday to Mrs. Hillie who is turning 79 on the 12th, to Mr. John who is turning 78 on the 14th, to Mrs. Grada who is turning 83 on the 14th, and to Mr. Joe who is turning 72 on the 16th.  Have a blessed day! 

GRACE CHURCH:   Thank you to everyone for your prayers, cards, and support during our time of grieving in the passing of Peter.  We appreciate the love and care you have shown us.  – Gerda, Julie, and boys

John’s surgical procedure went well and continues to recuperate at home.

Happy birthday to Attie who turns 79 today.  Have a blessed day! 

BLENHEIM CHURCH:    Our prayers are with Julia and Brad as Julia was admitted to Victoria Hospital in London due to complications with her pregnancy.  We also continue our prayers for Cor and Johanna, as well as Wouter.  We pray for continued healing for Hilda's ankle.  And we look forward to celebrating Ruby's birthday on Monday along with other birthdays this week.   

SERVICE TIME & LOCATION: Services are at Grace CRC and at 5 pm.

Special Combined Worship Services -

Please take note of the following: in addition to the Christmas services each church hosts for its own church family, we are planning two special combined services.

1) Sunday, December 18 at 7pm (*note time) at GRACE church. Name Above All Names is a special service of carols, readings and special music.

2) Saturday, December 24 at 7pm at CALVARY church. Christmas Eve is a family service of lessons and carols.

Calvary Coffee Break will be having their Christmas party on Wednesday, Dec. 14^th. 

We will be meeting at 9 a.m. for breakfast on January 4^th at the Chatham Breakfast Bar and Grill on Grand Ave East (across from Tim Horton’s).  Regular Bible Study begins on January 11^th.

You are invited to the Friendship Bible Hour Christmas Program on Thursday, Dec 15^th at 7 o’clock in Grace CRC.  Come and enjoy their enthusiasm and excitement as they praise God for the birth of His Son through singing and drama.  Their joy and sincerity will rub off on you and set the tone for your Christmas celebration. 

MESSIAH: The performance is December 17, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Chatham Capitol Theatre. This year’s performance features The Laudate Dominum Choir, celebrating their 50th Anniversary, the Chatham Christian High School Concert Choir, orchestra and guest soloists, one of whom is CCHS alumni, Suzanne Schaafsma (currently a vocal master’s student at U of T.). Proceeds from this concert will go to “Right to Life” and “Chatham Outreach for Hunger”. Tickets are $10 or $20 (plus service charges) and can be purchased online at www.cktickets.com or in person at the Chatham Cultural Centre Box office during business hours. Come celebrate our Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God and Everlasting Father with us this Christmas season.

The Chatham After 5 Christian Women’s Dinner will feature Sis Lalonde from NeighbourLink telling about how they help those in need on Tuesday, December 13 at 6:30 at the Country View Golf Course.  Cost is $13.  Judy Paling will sing and Ethel Wright will speak about “my Jugs”.  Call Roseanne 519-397-2878 for reservations.
