What is Cadets?
A Christian boys
club for boys age 7-14. Any boy this age may join.
What happens at Cadets?
The cadet season
is full of different activities. It includes projects, badge work, Bible
lessons, relays, fun outings, campouts and more. It is run by dedicated
Christian men interested in seeing the boys learn new skills and learn about
Christ.
When do they meet?
The group meets
every Monday night from Late September – Mid-April, from 7:00 – 8:30pm.
Where is it held?
Cadets is held at
Grace Christian Reformed Church, 275 Tweedsmuir Ave W.
What about Camping?
Oh yes! Campouts
are held 2-3 times per year, usually in Summer, Fall and Winter.
Camping-related skills are taught, including Winter survivor skills. (Boys
must be age 9+ to stay overnight in the Winter).
What is the Cadet-O-Rama?
The Cadet-O-Rama
is the high-light of the cadetting season. It usually takes place on the
3rd Saturday in April. The Grace Church Cadets get together with other
cadet clubs in the area and display our projects and badge work and run
relay races using skills that we’ve learned throughout the year. Judging
takes place in all the events and there’s always some special entertainment
in the afternoon.
