The Day of Encouragement Planning Committee is very excited to present the theme “GENERATION NOW”…A Discussion With and About Emerging Adults 18-25. On Sat. Feb. 11 at Good News Church in London, three presentations centered on different aspects of the theme will be followed by round table discussions. Each table would be led by a group facilitator.
The topics and presenters for DOE 2012 are:
· The relevance of a Reformed world view for emerging adults: Syd Hielema.
· Cultural realities and shifts facing the emerging adults: Marc Hoogstaad.
· Meaningful mentoring and discipleship for, with, and by the emerging adult: Mike Wagenman and Kelly Sibthorpe.
Through the Day of Encouragement, our hope is to begin a dialogue about an intergenerational approach to discipleship--an issue that involves the whole church. Come out to enlarge your understanding of emerging adults within the current cultural context and finally, provide questions, resources, strategies for you to take back to your church.
For more information or to register, email your name, phone number and your church to Marianne Idema: majidema@gmail.com or phone 519-424-3948 (evenings). The $10.00 fee can be paid on the DOE.
