We welcome you to our worship service! Pastor Michael Boerkoel will lead us in worship. May we be blessed as we worship together in the name of our Saviour Jesus!
This evening our 6:30pm Combined Worship Service will be led by Calvary CRC and located at Grace CRC
GRACE CHURCH VISION STATEMENT: As disciples of Christ our purpose is to encourage spiritual growth in ourselves, our family, and our church family so that we will be the presence of Christ to all the world around us in all we say and do.
Thought for the week: "Watch out for temptation – the more you see of it the better it looks”.

ATTENTION ALL MUSICIANS, CHILDREN’S MESSAGE LEADERS, PRAISE TEAM SINGERS, VISUAL ARTS TEAM, AND OTHERS INVOLVED WITH WORSHIP:
Redeemer University College is hosting its 3rd annual worship conference on Saturday September 25th. There is a group of 5 of us going already but we’d love to encourage you to attend as well. Check out the session info at www.redeemer.ca/worship and let Julie know if you can come and what sessions you want to sign up for. We’ll register together to get the group rate. We need to know by August 22nd if you can come and what sessions you are attending.
LIBRARY NEWS: Three new novels by Diane Noble are now in your Library. “The Butterfly Farm” is full of intrigue and danger on the Caribbean Seas. Can Harriet out-manoeuvre a murderous plan for destruction? “Through the Fire” and “Angels Undercover” has Kate on a roundabout quest for the truth, as she struggles to find answers to the mysteries in the Copper Mill village.
Help Needed: We need a number of able bodied people to help move the Snieder family to Chatham. We will also need an enclosed trailer or delivery truck for transporting their belongings. The moving date is Monday August 2nd - this is the August Civic Holiday weekend. Please contact Bill or Henry if you can help!
Profession
of Faith: Terry and
Brandon have been examined by elders and were approved to make public profession
of their faith in Grace CRC. Both Terry and Brandon will join the other
candidates and profess their faith D.V. Sunday August 15th 2010. Please remember
these people in your prayers as they take this important step in their lives.
Merger talks: Both Grace and First Council Executives met together to
discuss the possible merger of our two congregations. We have initiated a
process where the two councils will deliberate on this possibility, put to paper
pros and cons for proceeding with a merger and then make a presentation for a
discussion with each congregation sometime in September. Please keep this matter
in your prayers asking for the Lord's guidance through this process.
