We welcome you to our worship service today! This morning Pastor William will lead us in worship. May we be blessed as we worship together in the name of our Saviour Jesus!
Lent Worship Series: This Sunday we continue our series entitled “It’s All about You, Lord!” In Lent we remember that life is not all about us. In Christian tradition, Lent has been a time to give up certain things in order to be more focused on devotion to God. In the present series, we are reminded that all aspects of our life are to be devoted to God. The items that we will look at in this series should help to shape us as a church that focuses on God's glory first and foremost.
FROM EASTER TO PENTECOST: As a continuation of the theme, “It’s All About You, Lord,” we will be focusing on the theme of “Reaching our community and the world with the power of the Gospel” which is a theme from Christian Reformed Home Missions and Christian Reformed World Missions. This theme is based on Romans 1:16 “I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes….” Not only will this be the focus of our worship services but we are taking the next step to encourage each of us to get involved in our community through various organizations. The deacons have come up with various opportunities for service in which we can help out. This is a one-time commitment with a specific purpose so you are not overly committed to volunteering.
BIG BROTHERS AND BIG SISTERS:
One of those opportunities is to help Big Brothers and Big Sisters with a bowling fundraiser. We have been asked to form a team, gather pledges, and participate on Saturday April 10th. If this is something that interests you please sign up on the table in the Narthex.
This evening our 5pm Combined Worship Service will be led by First and hosted at First CRC.
GRACE CHURCH VISION STATEMENT: As disciples of Christ our purpose is to encourage spiritual growth in ourselves, our family, and our church family so that we will be the presence of Christ to all the world around us in all we say and do.
Thought for the week: "A shortcut is often temptation in disguise.”
